Home Learning TV | Papa Kāinga TV and Mauri Reo, Mauri Ora have finished broadcasting for now.

Home Learning TV | Papa Kāinga TV

This time around Home Learning TV | Papa Kāinga TV will take over TVNZ’s DUKE daytime schedule between 9am and 1pm on week days, with programmes and lessons for children aged 2 to 11 years.

DUKE is available on Freeview channel 13 (or Sky channel 23). You can also live stream or watch anytime on TVNZ OnDemand.

9.10am Tamariki Takeover Showcasing tamariki from all over Aotearoa, giving us an insight into what our kids find most important to them. 5–7 year olds
9.15am Junior Wellbeing The Graeme Dingle Foundation brings lessons on resilience, respect, integrity and positive relationships for kids. 5–7 year olds
9.25am Maia the Brave Join the wonderful adventures of Maia the Brave and discover the how and why of the world around us! 5–7 year olds
9.35am Junior Literacy: Tom’s Tryathalon Part 1 Join Tom's journey as he trains and participates in a tryathlon, then create your own fun tryathlon to do with your whanau. 5–7 year olds
9.50am Junior Science: Growing Kai Today Suzy introduces us to ngā maramataka as guides when growing kai. 5–7 year olds
10.10am Fanimals The results of the fish naming poll are finally out - which names did you end up choosing for them? We make a dog-friendly pizza and there's a super cute tiny puppy visiting us! 5-9 year olds
10.35am Junior Project: Tāngata Learn about the ways in which we can show that we care about people who are special to us. 5-7 year olds
11.00am Kitchen Science Join Michelle Dickinson (Nanogirl & The Imaginauts) and her helpers as they create fun and exciting science experiments that you can do at home. Today, mayonnaise. 5-9 year olds
11.05am Junior Te Reo Whaea Erina brings us today's junior lesson in Te Reo Maori. 5-9 year olds
11.15am Fanimals It's time for another kuri totika and this time Mocha the cavalier king charles spaniel is tackling the course, we also meet the Clifton family's marvellous macaws and the rest of their animal whanau. 5-9 year olds
11.40am Brain Busters Kiwi kids compete in a series of increasingly tricky challenges involving maths, memory, spelling and more - working towards the ultimate test of smarts and stamina, the Brain Buster! 5–7 year olds
12.10pm Middle Literacy: Michel Mulipola: Superhero secrets Inspired by the work of Paul Mason and Michel Mulipola join Marissa and learn about creating characters, such as superheroes for your stories. 8-11 year olds
12.25pm Middle Science: Biosecurity and our ngāhere Join Shawn Cooper as he explores biosecurity measures needed to protect our native ngahere 8-11 year olds
